Unbound. Condition: Very Good. Promotional brochure. One sheet folded to make four pages. Measuring approximately 6" x 9¼" folded. Printed in green and red, with a date cancel printed in black. Topedge with some wear, light handling, very good. Advertisement for a Boston production of A.A. Milne's play *The Perfect Alibi*, featuring the Broadway cast, including Vivian Tobin and Harry Beresford. The play, by the creator of Winnie-the-Pooh, ran in New York from November 1928 - July 1929 and is advertised as having a two-week run at Boston's Plymouth Theater. The inside of the brochure features advertising copy and newspaper reviews. The back shows a photographic still of the performance. Unfortunately for all involved, the play was set to open in Boston about two weeks after the Wall Street Crash of 1929, although we couldn't discover if it affected the opening in any way. The play was made into a film in 1930, titled *A Perfect Alibi* in America and *Birds of Prey* in the United Kingdom. An ephemeral piece of theater history from the Winnie-the-Pooh creator's other endeavors. Presumably scarce.
