Small book, 12mo, approximately 140 x 70 mm, 5½ x 3 inches, printer's device to title page, pages: [12], 1-130, lacking last blank page, collation: A6, B-F , G6 (-G6). includes: Dedication to William Lord Russel and To the Reader. Modern calf spine, gilt lettered label, gilt rules and blind decoration to spine, earlier marbled boards with leather corners, endpapers replaced at sometime, engraved bookplate to first pastedown. Corners slightly worn at tips, slight scribble and age-browning to title page, old ink name and a little scribble to verso title page, 6 old ink capital letters to top margin of following page, paper flaw to outer margin of pages 33 & 34 affecting 6 words, now with amateur repair and missing words inked in (see image), pages 5 & 7 closely shaved at outer edge touching several last letters at edge, all easily understood, small hole to top margin of page 29 and lower margin of page 95, no loss of text, light underlining on page 3, 'Finis' in old ink on last page, neat ink note on first blank endpaper, occasional small spot and stain, otherwise a good copy. The story of the fictionalised country of Otenia and the plotting of the religious faction known as the Gregorians against Good King Conradus.
