Original 1862 Civil War book, "Sketches of the Rise, Progress & Decline of Secession, with a Narrative of Personal Adventures Among the Rebels." The book lacks its front free endpaper, aside from that is overall in very good condition with just some minor signs of wear and age. The covers only have some minor. The binding is good and sound. The pages are lightly toned from age with some occasional light foxing. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor stain or marking, tiny tear or chip, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 and is 458 pages long with some black and white illustrations. Please look at all the photos to further note the condition.
