The plates are nicely inked; an early nineteenth century provenance (Ja Sharpe, the gift of his father Mr Tennent Sharpe, June 1805) is recorded in ink at front, with a pencil signature Jacobus Sharpe at the end beneath the Latin tag Labor ipse Voluptas. ESTC R17799; Wing D2412 Old calf gilt. A few leaves trimmed close at foot, not affecting leginility. Rebacked, preserving spine. Rubbed.
