Frédéric Boissonnas (18…58 - 1946), was a Swiss photographer, from a family of artists in Geneva. His father Henri-Antoine Boissonnas (1833-1889), founded a photographic studio in 1864. Frederic lead the workshop from 1887 to 1927. In 1919 he founded the publishing house Boissonnas SA. His second son, Henri-Paul Boissonnas (1894-1966), succeeded him in the direction of the firm from 1927 to 1969 and from 1969 to 1990 management was entrusted to the son of Henri Paul, Gad Borel.
