Manuscript / Paper Collectible
Cards. Condition: Very Good -. 4 trade cards (each 7.2 x 10.8 cm.) with illustrations in blue on the front of pixies engaging in various forms of mischief. The back of each is stamped "O. W. Reynolds, Manufacturer of Pure Confectionery, Extracts & Grated Cocoanut. West Haven, Conn." O. W. Reynolds is listed as a merchant in an 1877 directory. This set of trade cards was used by a variety of businesses in that period. The artist and printer are unknown. In Very Good- Condition: lightly soiled; closed 1-cm. tear from edge of one card.
