There is a dedication on front endpaper, signed by Irving Wallace and dated July 11th 1967. Dedication reads 'For Raymond - in friendship - and with best wishes as ever'. Raymond is strongly believed to be Raymond Cordier, former bartender on the luxury liner SS France, who was noted for friendships with some of the passengers on the liner's fairly exclusive trans-Atlantic journeys. Also included loose is a Simon & Schuster 'With the Compliments of the Author' card.
