Raymond is strongly believed to be Raymond Cordier, former bartender on the luxury liner SS France, who was noted for friendships with some of the passengers on the liner's fairly exclusive trans-Atlantic journeys. Also included loose is a Simon & Schuster 'With the Compliments of the Author' card.
