"Copyright, 1951, by Groff Conklin" on its copyright page, with no statement of edition or printing, and publisher's original "$2.95" price on the bottom of its jacket's front flap. This 74 year old book is in very good condition, marred only by light bumps on its spine ends, a trace of sunfade along its covers' top edges, and two small scuff marks on its back cover. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with a trace of toning in their top margin. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is in good condition, bright and unmarked, marred only by some small chips in its flap and spine folds, plus a 1/4" chip in the top of its back spine fold, a 1/4" ship in its front top edge, a very thin 1" chip along its front covers' top right edge, and a 3/4" tear with related crease in its front bottom edge. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.
