The 208-page text is in very good, tight and clean condition, with no foxing and only very very light age-browning. A couple of blank margins are neatly trimmed without loss. Old bookseller's stamp and a beautifully written 1853 inscription on the half title. Publisher's printed booklist on the end papers. The original green cloth hardback binding, with blind decoration on the front and back and title on the front, is in very good+, tight, clean condition. Weight 195g. See photographs attached. (H).

The first is The Working Man's Companion, The Physician I the Cholera, published in 1832 and published by Charles Knight, vi, 209 pp 2 plates and 1 fig in text a little foxing here and there. Small ink blot on title page. The second item Underwood's Guide to the Translation and Composition of Latin Descriptions with an Explanatory Latin Grammar written in a familiar style, together with a textbook and exercises. Published J Souter, London 1835. vii, 71, 119, 52 pp. The third item, Reid's Manual of Practical Midwifery containing a Description of Natural and Difficult Labours with their Management intended chiefly as a book of reference for students and junior practitioners, illustrated by fifteen engravings, published by Churchill, London in 1836. xii, 246 pp. Engravings present as called for. Quite a large ink blot on page 47 but the text is still legible. The binding is red cloth covered boards with gilt titling and library cartouche to spine, a relatively modern binding. A00007507.
