Subtitled 'A Compendium of phreno-Organic Science, this was one of Fowler's early books on phrenology, with one of his earliest head charts. Publisher's original brown gilt decorated cloth with design of a human head with brain map. This copy belonged to Commander Ralph E. Duncan of the marine corps, USNR, and bears his stamp on the endsheet. A clean, tight, unmarked copy. Very scarce.
