Memoirs of the Austrian-born American director, discussing his journey to Hollywood, his controversial films, and his independent production style. Particularly adept at thrillers, Preminger (1905-86) also helmed such film noir classics as Laura (1944) and Fallen Angels (1945). Octavo: vi, [2], 208 pp. with photographic illustrations. Original black cloth binding, with gilt-stamped titling. Mild wear to the corners and tips. The dust jacket is a bit toned, more so along the spine, with a bit of edgewear; otherwise very good.

An illustrated autobiography from the film director of such classics as "The Man With The Golden Arm," "Anatomy of a Murder," "Laura" and "Exodus." A clean and tight very near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket with some very light wear. Signed and nicely inscribed by Preminger on the front free endpaper in the year of publication. A very nice copy as the recipient was a longtime bookseller at Marshall Field in Chicago. Signed.
