Condition: Fair. Small-format hardback bound in brown cloth, with gilt titles to the front board and spine. Covers are rubbed, marked and faded, with wear to the corners and spine ends; the gilt lettering is dulled. Binding is worn and somewhat shaken, with cracking and exposed stitching at the internal gutters, although the pages remain attached. Pages are age-toned with scattered foxing and occasional handling marks. Previous-owner inscription dated September 1913 to the front endpaper. Extensive pencil scribbling to the half-title page. No dust jacket. A complete, readable copy, but sold primarily as an antiquarian reference or collecting copy due to the binding wear and internal markings. A charming early 20th-century pocket-sized cookery book containing traditional recipes for preserves, jams, jellies and pickles. Recipes shown include blackberry and apple jam and blackberry jelly.
