This is a press kit produced by Monticello for reporters covering the 1989 Education Summit, a gathering of the nation's governors and education leaders hosted by then-President George Herbert Walker Bush. The pictorial folder (which has some foxing) contains press releases on Monticello and Jefferson's role in education, four color pictures of fruit varieties grown at Jefferson's estate, two black-and-white photos of Monticello, and seven pamphlets about Jefferson's home, plantings on the grounds and school programs. Also included is a brass-like book mark.
