Original plain wraps, worn, frontispiece of the proverb "Never too Old to Learn" on the verso of the front wrap is chipped with loss along top edge, and the top text of the final proverb on the inside of the rear wrap torn and lacking. Modest staining and foxing throughout, early amateurish coloring to the illustrations, a number very restrained, a few reasonably well done, and one or two less well done; sewing structure perished.
