In burgundy cloth covers with stamped lettering and crown in gilt oval design on front cover and gilt lettering on spine. Frontsipiece of the Duchess and over thirty-five illustrations. Square and intact binding. Clean and unmarked endpapers and text pages. Bumping to ends of spine. Light foxing to title page and edges. Moderate wear to covers. . Photos upon request. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Cloth. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 1st edition, 1932. A Good copy lacking dust jacket. SIGNED by the author on half title page. 8vo., xii, 306 pp., illustrated with b&w photographic plates. Burgundy cloth with title on spine and front board in gilt. Front cover is heavily faded and rubbed with spotting from water damage that does not transfer inside the book. There is another spot of damage on front end page that carries thru to the table of contents. Otherwise a clean copy with the SCARCE signature of the Grand Duchess.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Maroon cloth on boards with oval title medallion, crown and titling all in bright gilt on front and titling to spine. Book is tight, square, sharp-cornered and free of markings and flaws inside and out, other than AUTHOR SIGNATURE on half-title page, "Grand Duchess Marie". Nice map endpapers in brown, yellow and cream. Book overall is Fine. Unclipped Dust Jacket shows original price of $3.50. DJ is Very Good with some shelfwear, a closed tear to bottom of spine and moderate scuffing but good unfaded color all around. We have the companion volume for sale in equally near fine condition, also signed, "Education of a Princess - A Memoir by Marie Grand Duchess of Russia.". Signed by Author(s).
