PROVENANCE: The book is signed by David Davies in a Wales town in 1873. David Davies (18 December 1818 to 20 July 1890) was a Welsh industrialist and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1874 and 1886. This book was previously owned by Arthur C. Greenberg, who assembles a 1300 book collection of key books in the history of chemistry. RARITY: OCLC reports only one copy of Pearson's book in any library.
