First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. A first format and first edition book--book and jacket list only to 1932 Jerry Todd title. The exterior has light general wear and lightly bumped front corners and head and heel of the spine, but no fabric tears. It is clean, square and free of fading. The interior is in very good condition--strong hinges, lightly toned paper that is still very flexible; it also has an owner's name stamped at the top of both paste downs as well as his penciled name and address in front; there are two small stains that originate at the bottom edge and the fore edge, but they penetrate no more than 1/4" and only as far as the table of contents; the lower front portion of the FFEP has some light brown spots (see photo). The jacket has only tiny or minor edge chips (see photos). The spine is a bit darkened and stained. The front panel illustration is virtually undamaged and quite colorful. All in all, an excellent copy of the last book in this early aviation series.
