Softcover. Condition: Near Fine to Fine. First. These books are the official record of three conferences held in 1967 and 1968 to consider the effects of a general (presumably nuclear) war. The conferences were held in the midst of the Cold War and during the height of the Vietnam War, so global tensions were very high, and a general war was considered to be a real possibility. Fascinating reading for anyone interested in the history of this period. All three volumes are in blue paper wrappers, with black titles on the spines and front covers. All appear unread, with no marks or damage to the text at all. The first and third volumes have sunning on the spines, and the third volume also has minor edge wear. Original copies of all three volumes are quite scarce, even as individual copies. A group of all three is extremely rare. DG.
