Elaborate and attractive album of extracts from the printed programs of the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, a record of opera productions from 1915 to 1922, listing the principal performances (and also retaining the lists of box holders, which functions as a who's-who of New York society). There are several newspaper clippings including an account of the farewell performance of Mrs. Geraldine Farrar in Tosca. Presented to Henry Fletcher by his wife, Ethel (née Thompson), on the tenth anniversary of their wedding. Henry Fletcher (1877-1953), of Greenwich, Connecticut, was a member of the Grolier Club until his death, and a major benefactor of the Yale libraries. Full deep red morocco gilt, spine with five raised bands, boards with triple fillet borders, navy blue doublures, silk flyleaves, t.e.g. Faintest traces of rubbing.
