Articles are in English. Speranza was born in Connecticut April 23, 1872. His childhood was spent in Verona, Italy. He received a law degree from College of City of New York and practiced immigration law for many years. In 1915 he went to Italy as a correspondent for the New York Evening Post and in 1919 returned to U.S. He wrote articles and books on the effects of immigration on American culture and politics.
