Original tan cloth stamped in gilt and red (a bit darkened). Very good. 432 pages. No dust jacket. No other signatures or bookplates. Presentation copy signed and inscribed by Marquand to noted screenwriter George Oppenheimer on the front free endpaper: "For George Oppenheimer best regards, John P. Marquand, Culver City June 1941." Marquand was in Hollywood for the filming of this book. Inscribed by Author(s).
