7½"x5" (19x12.5cm). Early edition - with just "Copyright" and "Printed in Great Britain" stated at verso of title-page, and dust jacket priced 7/6 at backstrip panel. Espionage novel set in German territory during World War One. 252pp. Original black-coated cloth, backstrip titled etc in gilt. Backstrip slightly rubbed & inwards-curled at head and foot, and slightly rubbed elsewheres in form of a scattering of very short & narrow losses to surface coating of minimal effect on appearance; backstrip gilt dull. Top- & fore-edges of text-block lightly & sparsely spotted, top edge also lightly handling-marked. Binding in good order, contents clean and tight. GOOD+ copy in fairly GOOD unclipped dust jacket chipped with a little loss.
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. The black has worn from the edges and the title on the spine is rather indistinct. The exploits of a British secret agent in Germany and the occupied countries during the Great War.
