This student's edition includes the Oregon Examination questions and answers for the eighth grade diplomas for the years 1901-1907. The name Victor Fruit [Fruitt] is written on the front cover. 53 pages. Rare. Joseph Johnson Kraps (1847-1922) was born in New Castle, Meigsville Township, Morgan County, Ohio. He was enlisted in the 77th Ohio Volunteers and was wounded and captured at the Battle of Marks' Mills in Arkansas. After the war, he attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where he also began his 50-year teaching career. He moved to Oregon and in 1890, started teaching at Pratum in Marion County. He founded and operated the Capital Normal School in Salem from 1900 until his retirement in February 1921.…
