Frontispiece, decorative title page and full page and chapter hea…ding woodcuts by D.J Watkins-Pitchford. Publishers' turquoise cloth with silver heron vignette to the upper board titled in silver to the spine. Boards exceptionally bright and clean. No inscriptions. Clean interior. A lovely near fine copy with offsetting to both sets of end-papers. The near fine dustwrapper is priced 8s 6d net to the inside flap and is a very clean example with just shallow loss at the head and tail of the spine (not affecting any lettering). A superior copy. A title that is seldom found in really nice condition due to the fragility of the dustwrapper. Shows particularly well. Genuinely uncommon - signed. One of BB's scarcer titles and scarce with these attributes. Thought by many to be BVB's finest work. Further photographs available upon request. Signed by Author.
