No dust jackets so there is slight wear to outer covers but they remain firmly bound and without serious flaws. Vol. 1 is inscribed by the author and includes two letters from the author noting changes and dated 1929. Inscribed by Author(s).

Corners and spine are bumped and shelf worn. The whole front edge of volume 1 looks as if it has had water damage but it feels more like the surface is rubbed, spot on the back edge also. No marks inside just a little foxing. Volume II has bookplate inside front cover and a school library stamp on front flyleaf, corners & spine are shelf worn and there is a worn spot middle front edge. Volume II has bookplate and school library stamp. The only other library marking in the entire set is a book pocket in the back of volume 3. Corners and spine are shelf worn and bumped.
