This was the 12th in that strikingly designed series of modern works in paperback begun in 1929; in 1930, after 16 titles had been issued, the subscription requirement was dropped and the series was renamed Bonibooks, published by Albert and Charles Boni. Subscription information on unpaginated pages following text. The author, an attorney, was inspired to write this "rattling good story" as "a scathing criticism of our legal system." -- Introduction. From the Fox Studio Library with no pockets or outer markings, but is stamped 'Fox Studio Library' often in the book and has a notation on the front pictorial endpapers "underworld politics". Novel attacking U.S. criminal law system. Book condition: Good. Books are shipped quickly and securely packed in a box.
