Manuscript / Paper Collectible First Edition
No Binding. Condition: Good. First Edition. This very rare educational kit from 1966, "Developing Number Experiences" Kit A, by Lucas and Neufeld, published by Educational Development Corporation (Holt, Rinehart and Winston, Inc) is in very nice overall condition. Box has a split on one corner and some writing and damage to cover. This is the classroom component for the 1966 "Developing Number Experiences" by James Lucas, published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston, Inc. Many plastic tokens, 3 "spinners," envelopes, teaching cards (over 100 different) and some sort of wooden sorting box are included. Not sure of what should be included as there is no reference to this product anywhere. Some of the teaching cards have been separated for use. As there are ZERO references to this supplimental kit on the internet, it is possibly the only remaining copy available. Originally published at $24 ($232 in today's dollar value!) these tactile tools were used to educate children before the advent of personal computers! VERY HEAVY and will easily weigh about 10 pounds shipped. Box has obvious damage but it is a survivor. There appears to be 5 plastic pieces missing (see photo) but it appears to be usable with fewer pieces (replacements from heavy cardboard could easily substitute). An unusal item. Dimensions: 12" by 21". Published by Educational Development Corporation (Holt, Rinehart and Winston, Inc), . 1st edition, 1966. B&W and color illustrations. . Cover defect(s): Some tears. Some fading. Some scratches/scuffing. 9 Pound Shipping Rate. Genre(s): Education / Primary Education / Teaching.
