Paull, Grace (illustrator). 1st ed. 1st ptg., 4to picture book, cloth-backed pictorial paper-covered boards, illustrated in alternating spreads of color and grayscale by the author. Rubbing to board edges, neatly written name on front free endpaper and stamped on half title and rear paste-down else near fine in very good, unclipped dj with tape reinforcement to bottom of spine and hand-written title to dj spine as well as name stamp to front of dj panel.

The book was published by Doubleday & Company Inc. for Junior Books in 1941 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. The book is NOT an ex-library copy - is in very good + condition - particularly for its age - and has no dust jacket . It is 7 7/8" by 10 3/8" and has about 25 pages with beautifully done black-and-white and full color illustrations on every page. It's a beautifully done book - still in great shape. It even has the name of the original owner printed neatly on the front loose end page . . . in pencil so if one wants it can be erased. I like the nostalgia of it all. Thank you!
