The covers have light wear around the edges with slight chipping at the top and bottom of the spine, reading crease down the left side of the front cover next to the spine and small creases to the top and bottom corners of the front cover. Light browning to pages and insides of covers. Residue from the previous owner's ownership label to the inside of the front cover. They have also circled the copyright date in pen on the copyright page and underlined all four of the previous Frank Kane titles. There is also a faint trace of some underlining under his name on the front and back covers and a name and date in pen on the inside of the back cover. Cover illustration by Victor Kalin.
