Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Welcome to the proceedings of REALWSN 2010, the 4th Workshop on Real- World Wireless Sensor Networks! After threemeetings in Europewedecided to holdREALWSN in exciting Sri Lanka. We want to thank the local organizers as well as the authors, attendees and members of the technical ProgramCommi…ttee, Demo and Poster Chairs for making this event possible. As the name of the workshop suggests, REALWSN is a forum for people interested in real-world issues in the fascinating research area of wireless sensor networks.Despite many yearsofresearchthe deploymentof realsensornetworks isstillachallengingtask.Thebehaviorofrealdeployednetworksdi?erssubst- tially from the behavior of the same network in a simulator. The main objective of REALWSN is to bring together researchers and practitioners to understand these di?erences and boost the state of the art in this exciting ?eld. This year the program consisted of 11 full papers and ?ve short papers ca- fullyselectedfromover34submissions.SinceREALWSN2010wasastand-alone two-day event, the attendees could also look forward to a poster and demo s- sion with more than 10 contributions. The technical program covered topics from low-level communication and software development to a variety of re- worldsensor networkapplications, some of them tailoredto Asian wildlife which we think is particularly interesting. Thanks again to all people who contributed to the workshop: the Technical ProgramCommittee, thedemoandposterchairsKameswariChebroluandAdam Dunkels, the Publication Chair Luca Mottola and our sponsors that include the UniversityofColombo, theUppsalaVINNExcellenceCenterforWirelessSensor NetworksWISENET,InterBlocksLtd.andtheSustainableComputingResearch Group at the University of Colombo. The local Organizing Committee provided tremendous help that made REALWSN possible. Constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Workshop on Real-World Wireless Sensor Networks, REALWSN 2010, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in December 2010. Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - ESP32 IoT Projects and Smart Devices is written for developers ready to move past simple demos and start building systems that hold up in real conditions. It takes a close look at how the ESP32 behaves when it's actually under pressure, where performance bottlenecks appear, and how design c…hoices at the software level ripple through the entire system. The emphasis is on building solutions that don't fall apart once they leave the safety of a controlled setup.Instead of jumping from one disconnected example to another, the book follows complete builds from the ground up. You see how sensors feed data, how that data moves across different communication layers, and how decisions are made and executed within the system. Wi-Fi, MQTT, HTTP, and real-time data handling are all explored in context, with attention given to why one approach might be chosen over another. There's also a strong focus on what happens behind the scenes, including how memory is managed, how tasks are scheduled, and how low-level hardware interactions shape overall behavior. The projects themselves are grounded in scenarios that mirror actual use, such as home automation setups, environmental sensing systems, and remotely controlled devices. Along the way, the book doesn't avoid the problems that tend to surface in practice. Timing conflicts, unreliable network conditions, and inconsistent data flows are addressed directly, with explanations rooted in how and why these issues occur. This is not a surface-level walkthrough. It's aimed at readers who want to understand what they're building, not just assemble it. By the end, you'll have a working grasp of how to design and assess ESP32-based systems with a level of confidence that comes from knowing how the pieces truly fit together.a.

Hardcover. Condition: Neu. Neu Neuware, auf Lager - This edited book presents the results of the 5th Workshop on Real-world Wireless Sensor Networks (REALWSN). The purpose of this workshop was to bring together researchers and practitioners working in the area of sensor networks, with focus on real-world experiments or deploymen…ts of wireless sensor networks. Included were, nonetheless, emerging forms of sensing such as those that leverage smart phones, Internet of Things, RFIDs, and robots. Indeed, when working with real-world experiments or deployments, many new or unforeseen issues may arise: the network environment may be composed of a variety of different technologies, leading to very heterogeneous network structures; software development for large scale networks poses new types of problems; the performance of prototype networks may differ significantly from the deployed system; whereas actual sensor network deployments may need a complex combination of autonomous and manual configuration. Furthermore, results obtained through simulation are typically not directly applicable to operational networks; it is therefore imperative for the community to produce results from experimental research. The workshop collected the state of the art in emerging and current research trends dealing with Real-world Wireless Sensor Networks, with the aim of representing a stepping stone for future research in this field.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are widely used to collect and transmit real-time data in applications such as healthcare, agriculture, industrial automation, environmental monitoring, and smart cities. With the rapid growth of the Inter…net of Things (IoT), WSNs have become an essential part of smart and connected systems. However, limited battery life, high energy consumption, and security threats remain major challenges. This research addresses these issues by developing secure and energy-efficient routing protocols. A secure routing protocol based on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), along with DEEC and EESSA energy-efficient routing protocols, was developed to reduce energy consumption, enhance data security, and extend network lifetime. In addition, a Security-Aware Self-Adaptive Lion Optimization Algorithm (SA-LA) was proposed to optimize routing based on residual energy, delay, throughput, node trust, interference, and security risk. The results demonstrate improved energy efficiency, enhanced security, longer network lifetime, and more reliable communication, making the proposed protocols suitable for modern IoT-enabled applications.
