Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 8vo, printed wrappers, 69pp. Halftone illustrations of the author by Jack Wilson. Dedicated to "My Lady." A cookbook of some peculiarity: the recipes are written in straightforward prose, but the extraneous matter - introductions, background asides - appears in the less f…ormal, supposed diction of the author, mis-spellings and all. Also worth noting: the actual recipes serve a fairly broad palate, and some of them will appear quite odd by today's standards. Elsewhere, Toni Tipton-Martin has written of West's cozy relationship with "E.P." One cooked for the other as they travelled about the country, and they accumulated regional fare, interspersed with unrelated asides about earlier days in South Carolina and in the Bahamas. Not listed in the usual, expected bibliographies, excepting, of course, THE JEMIMA CODE, pp. 58-59. First Edition. A Very Good copy.
