The proposed alternative is to allowfusion of human and machine capabilities.Segmentation and recognition of operator generatedmotions can be used to provide appropriate assistanceduring task execution in teleoperative andhuman-machine collaborative settings.This book describes research towards enablingimproved human-machine collaboration using intentionrecognition.
