This final volume of the series provides a full list of the 106 reports published (and one unpublished by order) in the various disciplines of study undertaken during the expedition. Also includes closing remarks on the expedition by its leader, Dr. Shigeyasu Tokunaga, followed by Tokunaga's obituary, the scholar having died while this final volume was being prepared for publication. Text in bilingual English and Japanese. Bound in stiff printed wraps with minor rubbing and creasing, interior pages clean and bright. ix, 6 pp., 3 b&w photos. Size: 26 x 19 cm.

This report of the first scientific expedition to the area, conducted by the Japanese in 1932-33 under the leadership of Shigeyasu Tokunaga, gives details of Palaeolithic remains discovered there. Original uniform printed stiff wrappers. = This is the rare, complete geological section of the results of an expedition to northern China during the Japanese occupation. It contains important monographs such as: Saito, K.: "Mesozoic Leptolepid fishes from Jehol and Chientao"; Tokunaga, S. and Naora, N.: "Report of diggings at Ho-Chia-Kou, Ku-Hsiang-Tung, Kurin, Manchoukou", etc. Text in English and Japanese. Illustrations show fossil mammals, etc. This second section appears to be much rarer than some others, such as the zoology (section V) and anthropology (section VI) sections. In the title of the first volume, Manchoukuo is misspelled "Manchoukou". Uniform library stamp on front cover and several first blanks and/or title pages.
