Wraps. Condition: Good. later printing. The format is approximately 5.25 inches by 7.5 inches. 32 pages, illus. (some color), CB-01-73 (Rev. 3-68) This work was compiled and distributed by the United States Marine Corps. It contains some Marine Corps specific content. To respect and display the U.S. flag properly, follow the guidelines set forth in the U.S. Flag Code, which emphasizes proper handling, display, and retirement of the flag. Key practices include displaying the flag at full height, ensuring it is not allowed to touch the ground, and retiring it respectfully when it becomes worn or damaged. Guidelines for Respecting and Displaying the Flag. Understanding flag etiquette is essential for honoring its significance. Display Position - The flag should be displayed at full height and never allowed to touch the ground. Time of Display - It is customary to display the flag from sunrise to sunset, but it may be displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated. Half-Staff Protocol - The flag should be flown at half-staff to honor deceased officials or national tragedies. Respectful Disposal - When the flag is worn or damaged, it should be retired in a dignified manner, typically through burning. Orientation - When displayed with other flags, the U.S. flag should be at the center and highest point. Mitchell Hooks (Cover illustration) (illustrator).
