Nice, crisp, fresh copy. [++]I'm not sure of the origin of this item, though I think it is probably an illustration from a published book or pamphlet and not a stand-alone broadside. Nevertheless, this is an interesting documentit would be a curious thing to determine how many of these fire houses remain in Manhattan. [++] This plate/broadside includes the following reports: (1) fire houses in Manhattan, including details on 42 stations, recording their engine number, when the structure was built (and rebuilt), total number of feet of hose, number of men, foreman's name, and location. (2) Hose Companies, (41 companies), showing the same information as listed above, as is the case with (4) Hook and ladder companies (7 companies) and (3) Hydrant companies, (3 companies), showing only location.
