Moving from Boston to Central Oregon, this is the story of how Hal McCall and his wife Dorothy built "one of the finest dairy herds in Oregon". They also raised five children, one of which, Tom McCall, became governor of Oregon from 1966 to 1974. This edition is signed by the author on the 9th page: To Luella and Bill H---, good friends with best wishes from the author, Dorothy Lauson McCall, The Ranch 1975. The condition is fine; the pages are free of all marks, tears, or folds. The green cloth cover is clean and shows no wear, with the exception of slight rubbing on the tips of the corners. The green cover shows a brown/white photograph of the ranch. It is clean and has slight rubbing along the right edge and one small tear at the top right. The binding is tight. Signed by Author(s).
