Querformat, ca. 63,5 x 86,5 cm. Farblithographie. Aus der Reihe: Meinhold's Wandbilder für den Unterricht der Zoologie, Nr. 24a. Am oberen Rand mit Holzleiste. Seitlicher Rand mit kleinem Besitzstempel. Ränder etwas gebräunt und leicht berieben, etwas angerändert, mit kleinen Randeinrissen. "Aus Umfang und Verbreitung der Meinhold-Serie läßt sich deren Beliebtheit bei Lehrern und Kindern ablesen. Die Bilder entsprechen der staatlichen Vorstellung von Erziehung, laufen aber auch den pädagogischen und kunsterzieherischen Auffassungen nicht zuwider." (Stach/Müller: Schulwandbilder als Spiegel ., S. 45. Zeigt eine Ringelnatter am Ufer eines Weihers, sie züngelt nach einem im Gras sitzenden Frosch. Schilf rahmt das Bild ein. Bild in der Platte signiert "A.W.".
