Condition: Good. 1944. First Published. 126 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards have minor damp and dust stains.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Included. THE DUST JACKET IS HEAVILY RUBBED AND TORN. THERE IS A 10CM BY 2CM TEAR TO THE FRONT AND A 4CM BY 4CM TEAR TO THE BACK. THE D/J IS SCUFFED AROUND THE EDGES AND THE SPINE IS TORN AT BOTH ENDS. THERE ARE MARKS TO THE FRONT AND IT IS CREASED. THE REAR HAS A PENNED NAME TO THE TOP AND IS HEAVILY RUBBED. THE PRICE HAS BEEN CLIPPED. THERE IS A STICKER TO THE FFEP NAMING A SUNDAY SCHOOL AND PRIZE WINNER FROM 1952. THE FIRST TWO PAGES APPEAR GRUBBY BUT THE REMAINDER ARE CLEAN AND CREASE FREE. THE BINDING IS TIGHT. ALL IN ALL A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS BOOK.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original green cloth covers, black lettering to the spine and the upper panel. 8vo 7½'' x 5¼'' 126, i [pp]. Monochrome illustrations throughout by Monk. Fine condition book, in Very Good condition dust wrapper with only one very small nick to the spine tip, not price clipped 5s, spine not faded. Dust wrapper without any tears or chips and supplied in archive acetate film protection, this protects and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper, super condition copy.
