The paperback is in Good condition overall. It has bright unfaded covers, with creased corners. The binding is tight with toning to the page edges, but please also be aware of the store stamp on the opening title page. There is a spine roll - please look at the photos carefully before you bid. The copyright page confirms the NEL first printing in June 1983.

This copy has some light tanning/soil to the edges of the text block and the erasure of a price to the ffep else fine. The19.95 priced jacket has some lightish rubbing wear, some edge wear, bit of chipping to the area at the top and heel of the spine. It has been awhile since I have had one of these in stock especially in a First Printing of the First Omnibus Edition, the true hardcover first. Kind of a rare bird. A compilation edition of the first four Bachman Books which were originally published as PBOs with an introduction by King "Why I was Bachman". Damn nice copy with a so-so jacket. The only hardcover appearance of King's controversial novel Rage, now permanently withdrawn from print, accompanied by a revealing essay about the Bachman pseudonym. This crucial omnibus collects four novels published under King's Richard Bachman pseudonym, featuring two elements never reprinted: the original version of his essay "Why I Was Bachman" and the complete text of Rage. After several school shooters cited Rage as an influence, King allowed it to go out of print permanently. 692 pages. First edition (first printing with a number line ending in 1 and a dust jacket priced at $19.95). Fine copy but for slight fading along the top edge of the boards in a near fine dust jacket showing minor edge wear and small bronze ink flaking on the cover. Far better than usually found. 1st edition. Softcover as originally issued, this being the first printing. It is in very near fine condition, no marks on the pages, clean covers, a very small crease to the lower rear corner, and with no spine crease so possibly never read. This is the third of the novels which Stephen King, its author, persuaded his publishers to release under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman, it is exceedingly scarce as a paperback original, and this copy is in very nice condition.
