Card. Condition: Very Good. Scarce, with no copies located on OCLC FirstSearch. 25 cm tall, Lower round ball part has a diameter of 16 cm. Unpaginated, eight leaves, with illustrations on rectos, text on facing versos. The book proper eccentrically opens from the back vertically. It is, though, the exterior "toy" that is of greatest interest. The lower ball has a weight inside the front cover that enables the "ball" to rock back and forth like a traditional roly poly, with the horse above rocking in tandem. The cover has been repaired where it once cracked by the horse's withers, and another crack line, this one inevitable, runs just above the ball where effectively the book is hinged.
