Original publisher's dark green faux leather lettered gilt on spine and on front cover, Very good indeed in slightly used VG jackets and slightly more used but sound used slip-cases. On the slip-case to the first volume is written 'For Eliane & Lionel with all good wishes for a happy Christmas 1964- love from Graham - 'L'Anglais bien tranquille.' In the ummistakable hand of Greene referring to himself here as 'The Quiet Englishman'. Inscription very slightly smudged and faintly rubbed else vg. Not sure who the couple were but Lionel could be Lionel Arthur Carter who Greene wrote about several times, a slightly sinister figure.
