The cloth of the lower extremities is a bit frayed. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown, and there is a minor notation on the front free endpaper. In a dust jacket, which measures 1/4" shorter at the head and foot. Illustrations by Charles W. Walker. A classic western novel. This is Max Evans' first novel, and it remains his best known work today. "The Rounders" was made into a film in 1965, starring Henry Fonda and Glenn Ford. Signed by Max Evans on the tipped-in half title page.
