Condition: Overall the set is in very good condition. Most of the volumes have staining to the spine label. The text pages are in overall excellent condition - the majority of the volumes are clean on the inside with clean pages that have no writing, foxing, stains or tears. A few of the volumes have dampstaining to a small number of pages within.but the dampstained pages are by far and away in the minority. The most notable condition flaw with this set is volume IX - the upper-left corner of the back cover bows upward; there is dampstaining to the upper-third of the long edge of the text block; there is dampstaining at the upper-outer page corners up to the contents page.
