First six volumes are the first edition, 1973 copy published by EP Publishing, while the supplement edition was published in 1989 by Hilmarton. All jackets display some degree of wear, particularly that of volume v which feels to have been significantly rubbed. Small closed tears to the heads of four volumes spines. Some light chipping to peripheries of all jackets. Additionally, jackets of each volume display signs of mild tanning. Internally however, contents are in impeccable condition. Clean, clear, bright and complete. No faults to mention. A continuation of Algernon Graves' seminal work cataloging the first 135 years of Royal Academy summer shows, the present volumes catalog all those that followed from the years 1905 - 1970. Additionally, the supplementary volume, published by Hilmarton Press, follows on to the year 1989. This reference lists architects, artists, engravers, painters, sculptors, etc. by surname (with address) and a list (by year) of their works exhibited. A thorough reference work, invaluable to anyone interested in the subject.
