Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. A very good+ hardcover copy. First Edition. No bumped corners to book. Spine tips are fairly smooth and round. No signatures or bookplates. A very decent copy. Author wrote over 40 books which took place in Africa. He was a contemporary of H. Rider Haggard.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. HB Harold Piffard Striking decorated binding in gilt and red Mitford was a near contemporary of Rider Haggard, covering much the same African scene. Not, one might add, with the same success-commercially, or otherwise. This adventure is set in Baluchistan, which one surmises from the turbans worn by the baddies is somewhere northwest of India A little foxing. Minor fraying to spine extrems, o/w VG+.
