Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Cathrine Barr (illustrator). 1st Edition. The Runaway Chimps was written by and illustrated by Cathrine Barr. The book was published by Henry Z. Walck Incorporated in 1954 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It is NOT an ex-library book but WAS the property of a school district (which has been stamped on the front paste down end page) and while the book is in very good + condition the dust jacket is only in good condition with the back dust jacket cover's end flap torn off for some reason. The book is 8 1/4" 3/4" by 10 1/8" and has about 30 pages with larger print and black-and-white illustrations on every page. "Little children will love the big gay pictures that tell the adventures of the four chimpanzees - and those beginning to read will find the simple text just right for them." Thanks for looking!
