Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Danish edition. 2 volumes. First of this edition. Original bindings. Half leather, pebbled cloth boards. Spines are lightly rubbed. A good+ set of the original edition. Minor foxing. Liebenberg was responsible for the publication of Adolph Wilhelm Schack von Staffeldt's Samlede Digte or Collected Poems, by which its author had hoped to be the first to introduce the dawning German Romanticism to Denmark. His ambition was eclipsed by the younger Adam Oehlenschl?ger who published a collection. Staffeldt was not held in high regard in his own time but is acknowledged as one of the most important Romantic Danish poets by later generations.
