Some sheets include initials and dates in the lower right corner. Sheet 1 includes overall area map with colors and numbers indicating the location of each sheet, street index, "Specials" index, key, notes, and inset of "Hyatt School Slate Co." Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. A stunning 1912 Sanborn Insurance map of historic downtown Easton, Maryland, in Talbot County on the Old Line State's Eastern Shore along Chesapeake Bay. This map features a full color map of the historic district of the county seat as well as large vignettes of the Easton Furniture Co. Lumber Yard and the S.J. Seneca Canning Factory along the line of the Pennsylvania Railroad. At the top are a key to the map as well as important statistical figures related to Talbot County, such as population of key towns and infrastructure and fire department facts. A few small contemporary hand embellishments in red ink. This map is extremely rare in commerce, measures 21" X 25", and is perfect for framing and display! Disbound. #IS-00010.
