Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. SIGNED & COLLECTIBLE First Edition, First Printing hardcover in green cloth boards with black title underlined in red, with a black drawing of a standing cowboy on lower right quarter of frt cover. Book shows negligible color loss at still sharp tips and spine ends. 328 pp text is crisp and unmarked save for the name: Will James on the blank front end paper. No other names, no tears or soil. Original dust wrapper had been previously taped down to another 1st edition we purchased and we swapped it on this book so to have the nicest signed copy we can offer and it will keep the book in its current condition which is more than suitable for gift giving or the collector's shelf. The jacket is darkened on spine and around periphery. There is a scratch on the rear panel that doesn't affect the "Word from the Author" that is printed there. Jacket is unclipped ($2.50 orig), has small chips at all tips and is in new mylar and displays well on the shelf. Sand is a novel about a wastrel tenderfoot who turns himself into a working cowboy. It takes a few years but he gets the job done. He gets the champion mustang nobody could catch, and the gal who was even harder to corral. Signed by Author(s).
