Inscription in pencil at head of first page: 'ABR from Bob, 1972 | - see colophon' ('ABR' is the London antiquarian bookseller Anthony Bertram Rota). The 'Acknowledgments' (rather than a colophon) on the last page begin: 'Saul and Lillian Marks wish to thank Mr. Robert Elwell for inviting the Plantin Press to show its work at the Grolier Club, [.]'. The Markses are not named as the printers of this elegant little production, with antique headpieces and initial in red ink and modern vignette of two printers working in black on first page.

Octavo. [10], [1, colophon], [1, blank] pp. Woodcut illustration from an Eric Gill design on title-page, woodcut printerÕs device on colophon. Red Cockerell wrappers, stitched at spine, printed paper label on front cover. Some wear to edges of wrappers. Correction made in blue ink, probably by Ritchie, to a printing error (correcting ÒLilliamÓ to ÒLillianÓ). With a brief tribute to Saul Marks by Wallace Nethery laid in. A near-fine copy. One of about fifty copies printed. The first book of Ward RitchieÕs Laguna Verde Imprenta, printed in memory of Saul Marks, who died in November, 1974, for Jacob Zeitlin, who also contributed the Gill wood engraving.

This copy has been inscribed by Dreyfus on the colophon in November 1977, and additionally signed by Ritchie in 1986. On the first page of the text a correction has been made in ink to the spelling of Lillian Marks' first name.
